In 1984 Tony completed a Bachelor of Economics Degree at Sydney University with majors in Industrial Relations and Economics. From 1984 to 1989 Tony worked as Industrial Officer for an Employer Association.

In 1989 Tony completed a Bachelor of Law Degree at the University of Technology and was also admitted as a solicitor.

Before joining Owen Hodge Lawyers in June 2006, Tony worked for a suburban legal firm from 1989 and became principal of that firm from 1997 to 2006.

Evelyn Loh

Evelyn graduated from B Commerce (Accounting) / Law at the University of New South Wales in 2007. She went on to complete her studies at the College of Law in 2008, while practicing in Accounting, and was admitted to practice as a lawyer in New South Wales in mid-2009.

Evelyn joined Owen Hodge Lawyers shortly thereafter in late 2009 in the Estate Planning team. Evelyn’s work involves Wills, Powers of Attorney, Appointments of Enduring Guardian, applications for Probate, Letters of Administration and Family Provision claims in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.

Evelyn is a qualified solicitor at Owen Hodge Lawyers. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin and is valued for her people, communication and research skills. Evelyn is competent and proficient in the running of all her matters, and uses her skills to get her clients the outcome they deserve.

James studied law at the University of Technology, Sydney while employed as a Parliamentary Officer in the New South Wales Parliament.

He has worked in regional practice since 1991 and has developed his legal practice mainly in the area of “Elder Law” and estate planning. This is the law as it relates to seniors and includes conveyancing, accommodation in facilities such as retirement villages and aged care. He also advises in estate planning from the legal perspective and other general issues affecting older people. He drafts testamentary trusts in Wills and trusts particularly where there are disabled beneficiaries.

James has been employed with Owen Hodge Lawyers since 1995 and became an Associate of the firm in 1996. He was made Partner in July 2000 and is the head of the Seniors, Estates and Residential Conveyancing team.

James Kelly is also a Notary Public, which means he has the ability to verify the signing of an international documents, certify that copies of documents are authentic, especially for overseas purposes, and witness documents which are from another country.

James is particularly aware and sensitive to the needs of his clients. He is conscious of the need to communicate with his clients in such a way as to help them make prudent decisions after considering the options.

He is actively involved with several seniors groups and advisory committees. He also regularly addresses seniors groups on legal issues.

Sheree Brinsley "Selling and buying a home can be a stressful experience. My aim is to help clients through this period by providing an informative and caring service."

Sheree Brinsley

Sheree was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 1994. She has worked with law firms in the Sutherland Shire for 20 years prior to commencing work at Owen Hodge Lawyers. She has always specialised in residential conveyancing and has also gained extensive experience in mortgage work. In 1991 she was a short listed candidate for the Law Society’s Legal Secretary of the Year award.

Sheree commenced working with Owen Hodge Lawyers in June, 2000 in the Commercial Property team. Given her knowledge and experience in Conveyancing, in June 2001 she was appointed team leader of the Residential Conveyancing team.

Sue Tribolet

Sue has worked in the legal profession since 1973 and has had experience in a variety of areas of law. Sue commenced working in Hurstville with the firm Forrest Dufty in 1975 and continued with Owen Hodge when they took over the firm in 1989.

Sue has concentrated on the area of Estate Administration since 1988, becoming an integral member of the Seniors & Estates Department at Owen Hodge Lawyers today. Since the completion of her degree in 2000, Sue has chosen to continue expanding her expertise in this area and Elder Law.

Sue’s aim when dealing with clients is to minimise the stress and anxiety during the grieving process and to efficiently administer the estate as quickly as possible. At the same time being sensitive to the needs of the client and communicating with them in such a way that they understand what is happening at any stage in the course of a matter.
