5. Concessions
Concessions are offered to assist with medical and living expenses.
5.1 Pensioner Concession Card (PCC)
A PCC is issued to all pensioners, allowing holders to receive pharmaceuticals and medical expenses at a concessional rate, bulk-bill, discounts on transport, rates, utilities, telecommunications and vehicle registration charges and more.
5.2 Commonwealth Seniors Health Card (CSHC)
People of Age Pension age that do not qualify may still be eligible for the CSHC, which has similar benefits to the PCC, and holders will also qualify for the Seniors Supplement. CSHC uses only an income test to determine eligibility – $50,000 for singles, $80,000 for couples and $100,000 for couples separated due to health.
