Owen Hodge Lawyers has developed specialist skills and experience in Family Law. Now based in our premises at Australia Square in Sydney's CBD the Family Law team comprises a specialist family law practitioner plus a team of four experienced, capable support staff.
Mark Field is the head of the Family Law practice at Owen Hodge Lawyers. He specialises in drafting financial (pre-nuptial) agreements, divorce and advising on issues regarding property and children. Mark handles all matters involving Family Law issues including attendances at court. For people who prefer the convenience of our Hurstville office Mark meets clients in Hurstville one day per week.
In October 2007, Mark (already a Personal Injury Accredited Specialist) acquired accreditation as a Family Law Specialist.
Accredited Specialists are solicitors with proven expertise. The Law Society of New South Wales has a Specialist Accreditation Program which identifies monitors and registers solicitors specialising in 13 different areas of law. Only those solicitors who pass the Law Society's exacting tests can use the Specialist Accreditation logo.
To become an Accredited Specialist lawyer through the Law Society of NSW the lawyer must have:
- at least five years full time practice
- at least three years specialty work
- passed rigorous exams in communication, problem solving, client service and, of course, the law
Therefore when you see the Law Society's Specialist Accreditation logo, you know you're on track for the right lawyer. Acquiring specialist accreditation is a very good achievement and accredited specialists are accepted as experts in their field by their peers.
