While Australians can already submit divorce applications online, only about 17 percent of divorcing couples choose to do so. The Family Court and Federal Circuit Court have introduced a test project Brisbane that enables couples to divorce without setting foot into a court registry. Although no launch date has been announced, the process is fully expected to go national. We explain what this means for couples, lawyers and everyone else below.
