David took a degree in Agricultural Science majoring in genetics and then pursued scientific research prior to taking another degree in Computer Science. Notwithstanding this, David still has difficulty in distinguishing the difference between a peach and an apricot but he enjoys both of these with equal pleasure.
Prior to coming to the law, David enjoyed a long stint in the teaching of science and computer science at the secondary and tertiary levels. Travel broadens the mind and this was true for David as his work involved a great deal of interstate and international travel for research into the latest trends in his area of expertise. This invaluable experience in education taught David to listen carefully and to explain difficult concepts in a simple manner.
After several decades of using one side of his brain to solve problems, David now uses the other side of his brain in the practice and profession of law.
David is passionate about understanding each one of his clients as a unique individual. He does this by actively listening for the issues, by assessing the situation and problems faced by his clients, and then developing cost-effective solutions for them.
David believes in the importance of assisting clients to live autonomously for as long as possible but to provide them with appropriate legal support structures in the aging process. He encourages the family of the client to work with the client in achieving these goals.
David specialises in estate planning, preparing wills, powers of attorney, and enduring guardianship documents for his clients. He also spends much of his time in estate litigation.
David has also taken on further studies and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree. He loves his work team but there is no place like home and family at the end of the day.
