Georgia joined Owen Hodge Lawyers in July 2019, moving from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where she advised large corporate, institutional and government clients as an Associate within its Institutional Banking & Markets business unit.

She was admitted to practice in 2020 and works within the commercial division of the firm. She assists in a variety of business-related matters including tax, asset protection, business structures and re-structures, buying and selling businesses, commercial contracts, lease and asset financing, and shareholder agreements.

Georgia has also been involved in large commercial litigation matters which broadly include business bust-ups as well as associated claims against accountants, auditors, financial institutions, lawyers and public authorities.

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney and she is currently completing her Chartered Tax Advisor qualification with the Tax Institute of Australia.

In her downtime, Georgia enjoys catching up on the latest films and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys writing and has submitted one of her screenplays to the Australian Writers’ Guild and to various Los Angeles screenplay competitions. She has a particular interest in start-ups, having created one herself where she registered a provisional patent for a secure cloud exam system that prevents cheating in digital exams held at high schools and universities.
