Sarah Hunter is a solicitor and integral member of Owen Hodge Lawyers. Sarah works predominantly in Family Law and Estate Planning.
Sarah is a clear communicator and tailors her approach to suit each client. Her overall goal when working with clients is to achieve the best possible result. Sarah simplifies the legal process for clients in a coherent and informative manner, using examples and scenarios to help break down complex information. Sarah’s efficient skills ensure that matters are resolved without further impacting what is already an emotional matter for many clients. Sarah always ensures all her clients know their rights and what options are available to them.
Whilst Sarah believes in exploring all avenues of fruitful alternative dispute resolution and negotiations before resorting to litigation, she also has extensive Court experience. Sarah has been in attendance at many procedural, interim and final hearings, mostly in the Supreme Court of Australia, the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court.
Sarah first joined Owen Hodge Lawyers in 2019 as a legal assistant to two family law practitioners. Prior to this, she worked for Barristers that practised in many areas of law which gave her great insight into the legal system. Sarah also had the opportunity to undertake a judicial internship whilst studying which allowed her to gain invaluable experience with the Magistrate as her mentor.
Sarah completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Western Sydney University. Sarah attended the College of Law to complete her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cooking, travelling and exploring the outdoors with her two dachshunds.
